Composition

Each vial contains:

Cefoperazone Sodium I.P. eq to Anhydrous Ceftriaxone 1000 mg.
Sulbactam Sodium U.S.P. eq to Anhydrous Sulbactam 500 mg.
Ceftriaxone
  • Cefoperazone is a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic
  • It exerts bactericidal effect by inhibiting the bacterial cell wall synthesis.
SULBACTAM
  • Sulbactam is a penicillin antibiotic which is a B-lactamase inhibitor.
  • As it binds to penicillin-binding proteins some sensitive strains are rendered more susceptible to the combination.

  • Lower and Upper Respiratory Tract Infection
  • Nosocomial Infections
  • Peritonitis, Cholecystitis, Cholangitis, and Other Intra-Abdominal Infections
