Ceftriaxone
  • Ceftriaxone is a broad spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic which is active wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria including B-lactamase producing strains.
  • It acts a bactericidal by inhibiting the cell wall synthesis in bacteria.
  • As compared to other cephalosporins it has longer elimination half-life.
Tazobactam
  • Tazobactam is a B-lactamase inhibitor.
  • It inactivates susceptibile B-lactamase by irreversibly binding to the catalytic region of the enzyme.
